Some of the best states to retire in are right here in our listening area.
According to the financial website Wallet-Hub, Missouri is the 12th best state to retire in, while Iowa is ranked 16th, Nebraska is ranked 23rd. Meanwhile, Kansas fell towards the bottom of the list, ranked 36th in the nation.
The website looked at several metrics, including cost of living, taxes, in-home services, and property crime rates. Wallet-Hub found the best state to retire in was Florida, and the worst is New Jersey.
